Prof. Liu, Yunhao received his BS degree in Automation Department from Tsinghua University in 1995, and an MS and a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University in 2003 and 2004, respectively. Yunhao is an ACM Distinguished Speaker, the recipient of the IOT Young Achievement Award from the China Computer Federation (2016), the ACM Presidential Award (2013), The China National Natural Science Award (2011), and the NSF China Distinguished Young Scholar Award (2011). He was the Associate Editors-in-Chief for IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, Associate Editor for IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, and now serving as the Editor-in-Chief for ACM Transactions on Sensor Network. Yunhao has authored/co-authored three books and more than 180 research papers. He received 4 Best Paper Awards in international leading conferences and has over 18,000 citations (h-index>60).
Junhong Cui

Dr. Cui received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from UCLA in 2003. Currently, she is a Full Professor in the College of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University, China. From Aug. 2003 to Aug. 2017, she was on faculty in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at University of Connecticut (UConn). She also served as the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and Diversity of School of Engineering at UConn from 2009-2012. At UConn, Jun-Hong founded and is leading the interdisciplinary UnderWater Sensor Network Lab, which involves more than 30 faculty members from eight departments across two schools. From 2012 to 2014, she led the efforts to launch an NSF I/UCRC (Industry/University Cooperative Research Center) for Smart Ocean Technology, in collaboration with University of Washington. In the research community, Jun-Hong co-founded the first ACM International Workshop on UnderWater Networks (WUWNet’06), which now has become a stand-alone premium conference in the area. She has been serving as the WUWNet steering committee chair. Jun-Hong received 2007 NSF CAREER Award and 2008 ONR Young Investigator Award. She also received the United Technologies Corporation (UTC) Professorship in Engineering Innovation award at UConn in 2008 and UCLA Engineering Distinguished Young Alumnus Award in 2010. She received Outstanding Junior Faculty Mentoring Award, School of Engineering UConn in 2013 and became an elected CASE (Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering) member in 2014. Starting from 2016, Dr. Cui joined Jilin University as a Special Expert for the China 1000 Talent Program (selected in 2015) and founded the first Smart Ocean Research Center in China.

Tao Jiang (M’06, SM’10) is currently a Distinguished Professor in the School of Electronics Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, P. R. China. He received Ph.D. degree in information and communication engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, P. R. China, in April 2004. From Aug. 2004 to Dec. 2007, he worked in some universities, such as Brunel University and University of Michigan-Dearborn, respectively. He has authored or co-authored about 300 technical papers in major journals and conferences and 9 books/chapters in the areas of communications and networks. He served or is serving as symposium technical program committee membership of some major IEEE conferences, including INFOCOM, GLOBECOM, and ICC, etc.. He was invited to serve as TPC Symposium Chair for the IEEE GLOBECOM 2013, IEEEE WCNC 2013 and ICCC 2013. He is served or serving as associate editor of some technical journals in communications, including in IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Communications Surveys and Tutorials, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and he is the associate editor-in-chief of China Communications, etc.. He is a recipient of the NSFC for Distinguished Young Scholars Award in 2013, and he is a senior member of IEEE. He is an editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (since 2011) and received “Top Associate Editor” award for outstanding contributions to the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology in 2013.

Shiwen Mao received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University in 2004. Currently, he is the Samuel Ginn Endowed Professor and Director of the Wireless Engineering Research and Education Center (WEREC). Dr. Mao’s research interests include wireless networks, multimedia communications, and smart grid. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, the Chair of IEEE ComSoc Multimedia Communications Technical Committee, and the Vice Chair of IEEE ComSoc Technical and Educational Activities Council (TEA-C). He was a co-recipient of IEEE SECON 2017 Best Demo Award, the Best Paper Awards from IEEE GLOBECOM 2016, IEEE GLOBECOM 2015, IEEE WCNC 2015, and IEEE ICC 2013, and of the 2004 IEEE Communications Society Leonard G. Abraham Prize in the Field of Communications Systems. His student also received the Best Student Paper Award from IEEE PIMRC 2017. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2010, the 2015 IEEE ComSoc TC-CSR Distinguished Service Award, and the 2013 IEEE ComSoc MMTC Outstanding Leadership Award. He was awarded the McWane Endowed Professorship in 2012 and the Samuel Ginn Endowed Professorship in 2015. He is on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Multimedia, ACM GetMobile, Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks, and Elsevier Digital Communications and Networks.

Song Guo is a Full Professor at Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from University of Ottawa and was a professor with the University of Aizu from 2007 to 2016. His research interests are mainly in the areas of big data, cloud computing and networking, and distributed systems with over 400 papers published in major conferences and journals. His work was recognized by the 2016 Annual Best of Computing: Notable Books and Articles in Computing in ACM Computing Reviews. He is the recipient of the 2017 IEEE Systems Journal Annual Best Paper Award and other five Best Paper Awards from IEEE/ACM conferences. Prof. Guo was an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems and an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer. He is now on the editorial board of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Computing, IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking, and IEEE Communications. Prof. Guo also served as General, TPC and Symposium Chair for numerous IEEE conferences. He currently serves as an officer for several IEEE ComSoc Technical Committees and a director in the ComSoc Board of Governors.
